Itinerary

Complete Itinerary: Salkantay Trek 5 Days / 4 Nights

Day 1: Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa – Soyrococha

We will pick you up early to head to Mollepata (2,850 m.a.s.l.), where we will have breakfast before continuing to Soraypampa (3,900 m.a.s.l.). On this day, we will explore the stunning Humantay Lagoon (4,000 m.a.s.l.), a place that will leave you speechless. After enjoying the scenery, we will have lunch and continue to our campsite at Soyrococha (4,400 m.a.s.l.).

Day 2: Soyrococha – Salkantay Pass – Collpapampa

The most challenging but also the most memorable day. We will ascend to Salkantay Pass (4,600 m.a.s.l.), where the views of the glacier will amaze you. From here, we will descend towards Collpapampa (2,750 m.a.s.l.), passing through landscapes that shift from high-altitude plains to cloud forest.

Day 3: Collpapampa – Playa – Santa Teresa

We will hike through the cloud forest, a tropical environment full of lush vegetation. We will arrive at Playa (1,900 m.a.s.l.) for lunch and then continue to Santa Teresa (2,000 m.a.s.l.), where we will spend the night.

Day 4: Santa Teresa – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes

On this day, we will transfer to the hydroelectric station and then hike to Aguas Calientes (2,000 m.a.s.l.). After lunch, we will check into our accommodation and enjoy a group dinner.

Day 5: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

The big day. We will visit Machu Picchu (2,400 m.a.s.l.) with an expert guide who will reveal all its secrets. After the tour, we will take the train to Ollantaytambo and finally the bus back to Cusco.
